As part of my mentorship, I had the opportunity to create something to help the development process for students. Since the class primarily used Unreal Engine, I decided to make a document to cover the overall terminology, UI editor, basic UI elements, and how to use them.

When I was drafting it I wanted to make sure that I made no assumptions in skill level of the reader, so I explained every step I took after I opened the program. I also knew that information can get lost when reading pure text documents, so I wanted to focus on adding clear images for readers to reference.

After I made the draft, I tested it to make sure it was comprehensible from any reader's experience level with the Unreal UI editor. This let me iterate on the document to make the information more clear on harder to understand topics, such as Unreal's UI anchors.

Finally, I chose to theme the document's colors ones that are typically associated with feeling calm. They have lighter saturation when compared to the high contrast, dark-mode that most developers tend to work in, which should help with reducing mental strain and be easy on the eyes.
